Think’s Executive Advisory Team Continues to Grow

John Camp

20-Year CTO John Camp Joins an Already Impressive Executive Advisory Practice

January 31, 2018 – Baltimore, MDThink, the Baltimore region’s leading corporate executive and technology advisory provider, announced today that John Camp has joined the firm’s Executive Advisory team as a senior consultant. John brings a wealth of experience, including 20 years as a CTO with Bloomberg BNA, Wolters Kluwer, Compass Learning, and Thomson Reuters.

John’s senior executive leadership experience includes two decades of designing results-driven business strategies. He has a proven track record within the technology industry, advising executive teams through growth and organizational optimization.

In his new role with Think, John will work with new and existing clients to improve technology investment results through IT rationalization and strategic planning. John has considerable experience in front office, back office, and product innovation transformations with a background in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, reducing inefficient KTLO strategies, and improving customer experience.

“John’s CTO experience on its own is impressive, but it’s what comes with that tenure that’s most remarkable,” says Think President and Founder Tony Grubel. “He’s faced virtually every challenge or obstacle you can imagine and overcome them all. When you have a seasoned pro like John on your side, you have someone who knows how to deliver solutions, because he’s succeeded so many times already.”

“I have worked with Tony and the Think team for years and I’ve always been impressed,” says John Camp. “It’s a real privilege to be part of Think’s Executive Advisory practice. The success Tony and his team continue to have, helping clients overcome challenges and strategize for the future, is exciting and gratifying work. I look forward to helping expand our opportunities and remain a trusted business partner for Think’s impressive client list for years to come.”

John’s addition comes on the heels of the December of 2018 announcement that former CIO Dale Matthews had joined Think’s Executive Advisory practice.

Think’s Executive Advisory team performs the same functions as a full-time C-suite employee, while offering experience and insight pulled from leadership roles in some of the nation’s most well-respected companies. With a strategic focus, the virtual CXO works with businesses to develop an operational, marketing or technology road map, strengthen risk and security policies, and improve business processes.
