Executive Advisor, Finance & Operational Strategist
John is a seasoned, C-level strategist and financial/operational resource for businesses and non-profit organizations. He has held pivotal finance leadership positions in several publicly-traded companies, including Nokia Siemens Networks, Siemens Communications and Bosch Telecom. In addition, he has successfully navigated the private-equity realm where he led venture funding initiatives for Quantum Photonics, Inc. and Paratek Microwave, Inc. John has led several M&A transactions, including their corresponding business integrations, and has provided operational leadership to numerous start-ups and entrepreneurial endeavors, including Source1 Purchasing. In the non-profit arena, he has provided both strategic counsel for, and hands-on operational stewardship of dramatic changes in organizational vision, mission and scope. In the education reform space, he has worked with Great Minds (formerly Common Core), The National Council on Teacher Quality, and Standards Work.
John has been licensed as both a Certified Public Accountant (MD, inactive) and a Certified Circuit Civil Mediator (FL, inactive). He holds a Graduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution from Abilene Christian University and a BS in Finance and Economics from Mount Saint Mary’s University. Before attending Mount Saint Mary’s, he served honorably in the United States Marine Corps.
John and Donna Davidson reside in Delray Beach, FL, where John serves on multiple non-profit boards and feeds his surfing, stand-up paddling, triathlon, golf and tennis habits.
